Second to None!
How does one ever start to write about the compassion and care that was shown to us by all at Country Funerals, following the tragic loss of our daughter.

Frances, who took the greatest care imaginable was just so incredibly soulful. I can only put into words what is and was so genuinely special about her and the empathy she and her father Graham showed.

From the very moment that we met. We were guided through every step and decision that was required, with the upmost care. I simply cannot express - she looked after our beloved daughter with a profoundness and empathy that will ‘always’ resonate with me. The level of service, the care and consideration that was displayed was with such love, dignity and patience.

Frances understood our needs for our daughter’s farewell, her ceremony was to be beautiful and organic, to be a reflection of the young, but vibrant love we had to say goodbye to. She knew every detail mattered. I can honestly say that every thought, feeling and emotion was considered. From what venue? Recommendations for celebrants, caterers, florists, special and additional requests, even down to our dress code requirements.

The day itself was nothing short of beautiful, yet filled with trepidation and sadness, but not for one moment did we feel without guidance. The level of care this family go to and the memories of our daughter’s day will ‘never’ be forgotten. Not just because of the unbearable element of circumstance, or how bittersweet our daughter’s tribute was, but the extraordinary level of care and empathy shown to us as a family.

Thank you Frances, thank you ‘Country Funerals’, for being the most remarkable you could have ever been. You carried our family through the loss of our amazing daughter, who will always remain one of the greatest blessings of our life. Frances and Leah, from our first phone call to them the day our mother died, and their team were simply superb.  We couldn't have asked for more support, guidance, professionalism, empathy, eye for detail and help with organising the family only cremation service and thanksgiving service for over 300 on the same day. "Seamless very caring professionalism"
We were recommended to Country Funerals by Claire Richardson & I had been in contact with Frances before my 90 year old mother passed away.
What impressed? Well to be honest everything!
An individual point of contact day & night in Leah or Frances; a well organised very early morning collection to take Mum to the funeral parlour; easy and supportive discussions of Mum's and the family's wishes for her cremation; a caring unattended cremation service before a much later memorial service & the interring of her ashes in Dad's grave.

Losing my mum was the most heart-wrenching experience of my life, and I truly don’t know how I would have navigated that time without the incredible support of Frances, Leah, Graham and the whole team at Country Funerals. From the very first moment, they treated me and my husband with the utmost compassion, kindness, and respect.

What stood out the most was their ability to be genuinely empathetic while maintaining complete professionalism. They took the time to listen, to guide, and to gently walk us through each step of the process — always with sensitivity and patience, never rushing or overwhelming us.

Nothing was too much trouble. Every detail was handled with such care and thoughtfulness, ensuring that my mum’s service was as beautiful, dignified, and personal as we had hoped. Their calm presence and quiet strength gave us a sense of peace when everything felt like it was falling apart.

As this was my first time arranging a funeral I couldn’t have picked a more efficient and compassionate team led by Frances and Leah.
They collected my Mum from the family home which was done with much care. The location set in the village of Westwell was just perfect.
We met with Frances the following week who guided us every step of the way and also recommended a wonderful celebrant Claire.
The whole process from beginning to end was carried out with attentiveness which made a sad time bearable.
My Mum had a wonderful send off and a huge thank you to Country funerals.

Having previously attended two funerals conducted by Country Funerals we had no hesitation in selecting them to arrange Mum’s funeral.
Leah and Frances are two delightful ladies, calm, efficient and compassionate. Leah took us through all the options for a funeral and encouraged us to design our own bespoke tribute to Mum. She provided all the necessary support and contacts we may need, and once we had decided on the format they arranged everything exactly as they said they would. They arranged for Mum’s collection from her care home some 25 miles away despite having two other funerals on that day. The whole process removed any stress we may have felt at this sad time.
The service was excellently crafted, and they gave us the honour of being pall bearers under Graham’s tutelage, something my brother and I will treasure.

From the moment my sister and I spoke to Francis and Leah we knew everything was going to be okay. Before this point we were desperate to find some guidance. You see this was our first time and it is as expected, a very sad and emotional time, when you need good people around you. People that you can trust and can be trusted. The constant support and comfort was ever present, and perfect for our Mum, who would have loved them both.
Communication and timing can be so essential during these arrangements, and this was consistently professional throughout the time leading up to, during and after our Mums service.
I thank them both from the bottom of my heart and will never forget their kindness.

I am so pleased that I used this beautiful company to conduct my Mums funeral. From the very start nothing was too much trouble. They had to travel over a 100 miles to collect mum, the nursing home said it was the best most respectful company they had ever dealt with. When we met with Leah she just listened and advised the best solution.
